There's a first time for everything, right? Today I had a chance to dip my toe in the waters of TV production...and it was a nerve-wracking blast. :) 

Years ago, my entire blog focused on mom tips to make daily life easier. Lately I've been itching to start sharing my favorites again. The big advantage for me is that I have tons more experience under my belt this time around. Now that I have six kids my perspective on parenting is all about efficiency. I love streamlining the monotonous mom stuff so I can make time to be the fun mom. When I find a way to save time and money - and look like the fun mom in the process - I feel like I've struck mom-gold and I can't resist sharing. I call them MeckMom's Mom Hacks and I'll be sharing tons of them this year.

Luckily, Brooke Walker over at KSL's Studio 5 was more than happy to share the spotlight today and let me kick off my new series on their set. I started out with one of my favorite mom hack areas: kid birthdays.
