May's kit is finally ready! Help the kids in your primary break down each verse of the beloved song 'When I Am Baptized' with my latest song kit. This simple doodle-filled kit comes with all the tools you'll need to teach this key song from week to week. It includes options for photo lab printing and home printing.
I designed these printables to use a little ink as possible. Each of the doodles is one solid color and has no shading. The doodles are simple and clear and represent the actual word - not what it sounds like (for example, there are no bumble bee icons used for the word 'be' or number 2's used for the word 'to').
Often the same doodles are used in various songs throughout the year so the early-readers in the group can learn to recognize the words and commit them to memory.
This listing includes 17 pages of printables:
-
1 high-resolution 20×30″ poster file, perfect for uploading to your favorite photo lab (such as Costco or Walgreens).
-
1 introduction page loaded with game ideas and tips for using the various sizes of spots.
-
1 8.5x11 lyric sheet. Keep a copy in your binder to keep track of the kids' progress.
-
15 pages of large, 7″ floor spots (perfect for large groups, chalkboard displays, and movement games). One spot for all of the icons used in the poster (print multiple pages of each for repeating words, if desired).
-
3 pages of smaller, 3″ hand spots (perfect for small groups, card games and headbands). One spot for all of the icons used in the poster (print multiple pages of each for repeating words, if desired).
Popular uses: (many more are included in the printable)
-
The 20x30" poster: This poster was designed to be easy to read for Jr and Sr Primary. The text is written out completely with visual reminder doodles layered behind the key words. It can generally be printed at Costco or Sam's Club for around $10.
-
The 7" spots: These spots coordinate with the doodles on the poster for easy memorization games. For example, lay out the spots on the ground and have the kids take turns throwing bean bags at the spots. When they hit one, you'll sing to that word in the song.
-
The 3" spots: Print two copies of the doodle icons and play a game of memory on the chalkboard. When the kids make a match, sing to that point in the song.
- Find more game ideas for all of the pieces on the included instruction sheet
All of the song kits in my line will use the same sizing so you can easily transport all of them from home to primary, or simply roll them and stash them in the closet.
